Hello, I’m Dan Kingery and I’m the Skipper here at SunRise Sail.

With SunRise Sail you have access to a sailing school and two different types of sailing clubs. We also offer a brokerage division to help you find that perfect dream boat. We are really looking forward to meeting and sailing with you on Lake Lanier (The Atlanta Ocean).

Learn To Sail

Are you looking for sailing lessons in Atlanta? Then discover SunRise Sailing Academy on Lake Lanier. We provide ASA certified instruction and guarantee that you will earn your ASA Basic Keel Boat 101 certification. Our students take pride in the fact that after taking our sailing course they actually know how to sail. We have the lowest prices for sailing lessons on Lake Lanier.  Sunrise Sailing Academy offers a flexible schedule when our students can generally name their own preferred date and time.  Along with ASA 101 Basic Keel Boat, we offer ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising and ASA 105 Basic Coastal Navigation.

Affordable Sailing on Lake Lanier

Once you have your certification, new skills and confidence we suggest that you join our FreeTime Sailing Fleet , Atlanta’s Top Sailing Club. Our members are all types of sailors: from New Sailors to Old Salts.  FreeTime Sailing Fleet is ABSOLUTELY the least expensive way to go sailing on Lake Lanier.  Reservations are made online and memberships start as low as $99 per month.

Atlanta’s Five Star Sailing Experience

Sunrise Sail is our signature Lake Lanier sailing club,  a premier membership-based fractional lease program. This all inclusive program gives you access to fully provisioned luxury sailing yachts at a fraction of the cost of ownership. Reserve up to seven guaranteed sailing times a month (unlimited sailing on an as available basis). We provide everything you need, simply bring your personal provisions and enjoy.
